Out of district Professional Development credit Instructions
Guidelines for Receiving Trade Days:
1. PD Days Must Be from Approved List.
2. Trade Days are earned in ½ day increments up to 5 days.
3. PD must be done on non-contract days.
4. Staff cannot be compensated for attending the PD to be eligible for trade day.
5. Department Directors can assign particular PD Days for staff to attend to be eligible for Trade Days.
6. Staff must register in eduphoria and sign-in, or upload proof of attendance to eduphoria if it is out-of-district PD, to receive credit for a Trade Day.
7. We understand that Summer School Teachers will not be able to attend the mornings of June 5th-9th so there will be other opportunities to attend the PD equivalent of five days during the summer. More information will be forthcoming once summer school teachers are hired.
PD Eligible for October Trade Days:
1. A calendar will go live on Sched (that’s an App) in the coming month with all approved PD including approved online PD. We will register all staff from central office and update it through-out the summer.
2. All June 5th-9th PD will count towards Trade Days as will any PD loaded into this app.
3. All IB, New Teacher Orientation, AVID Institute, and New Tech/PBL Training will count towards Trade Days for selected staff. Principals and Directors will assign these PD days to specific staff.
4. Any PD approved in writing from a Department Directors or above (not a principal) will count.
5. Certain Conferences as determined by Department Directors (Fine Arts, SPED, etc.) which will be posted on Sched or communicated directly by directors in writing to staff.
6. Secondary Football and Volleyball coaches should check with the District Athletic Director for their October practice schedule and any acceptable Professional Development for Trade Days.
