Leslie Snyder

Manor Independent School District
PBL Coordinator, Elementary Schools
Manor ISD
After teaching in Mumbai, India at a private, international school with a PBL and technology focus, Leslie Snyder returned to the district where her love of teaching began in a first grade classroom over 13 years ago. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, her philosophy of teaching has always been informed by approaches that acknowledge whole child development in addition to academic content. Now, as Elementary PBL Coordinator, she shares the benefits of PBL with teachers and students in Manor ISD New Tech Elementary Schools. This self-described PBL Enthusiast is committed to embracing a growth mindset, and encourages a fearless approach to teaching by viewing it as a practice to be continually examined and improved. Leslie's belief that failure is key to authentic learning informs her educational interests and personal pursuits, which currently include gardening, hand-lettering, and pet care.
