Manor Independent School District
Proud to be a Manor Mustang! This is my 15th year in education and I'm very excited for all the great things happening in MISD. I joined MISD in January 2015 after being in my former district for 12 and 1/2 years. I've mostly taught middle school social studies, however I was also an instructional coach for ELA and Social Studies at the elementary level and social studies only at the high school level. Not always have I been in education. After I graduated from Edna High School, in 1989, I attended a junior college before enlisting in the US Air Force. In 1994, I was Honorably Discharged from the Air Force and decided to finish pursuing my undergraduate degree. I graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies with Concentrations in Political Science and History from Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington in 2000. Shortly after, I moved home to Texas and began my career in education with Ganado ISD. After much encouragement from colleagues and my principal, I decided to pursue a graduate degree. In May 2012, I graduated with a Master's of Education in Administration and Supervision. I also received my Principal Certification in May 2012.My husband and I recently moved to the area with our two sons, Gunnar and Gage. Gunnar and Gage love playing sports and my husband is a professional musician. Our weekends are full of family time, either at a sporting event or a show.
