Denise Deckard

Manor Independent School District
Assistant Principal
Denise is currently serving as Assistant Principal at ShadowGlen Elementary School and holds a BA in Educational Studies from Clark Atlanta University and Masters degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership with Principal Certification from Texas State University, San Marcos. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. The mother of one son, she truly believes that if you teach children well today, they will become the positive role models and leaders of tomorrow. Teaching a child well focuses on their emotional, social, spiritual, cognitive and physical development. When not creating and revising plans for educational success, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Before joining Manor ISD in 2008, Denise taught for Gilmer ISD and First Baptist Church Child Development Center. Her primary assignments included Pre-K and Kindergarten. Prior to that, she worked for a diverse range of organizations, including Verizon Wireless - Office of the President, Automobile Club of Southern California-Senior Travel Representative, and Ticketron as a Resolution Coordinator. This varied background provided the perfect foundation for helping others to effectively communicate and eliminate obstacles to success.
